CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP

Members of the BGS Ljubljana Chapter may include students:

  • in study programmes in business, with AACSB accreditation,
  • and who receives an invitation issued in accordance with the quantitative and qualitative criteria defined in points 1.1. – 1.4.

New candidates for membership are nominated once a year based on data for the previous academic year.

1.1. Undergraduate students

The top 10% of students in the first level of Bologna-type programs are invited to join the BGS SEB LU Society, provided they:

  • are regular students who have been regularly progressing from year to year (without repeating a year) and without any breaks in their studies, or are part-time students who have been enrolled in the same year at the most for two academic years, without repeating a year and without any breaks in their studies;
  • have successfully completed exams for all enrolled subjects for all years of the study program by September 30 of their third year; and
  • have achieved an average grade of 8.50 in all exams.

1.2. Postgraduate master students

The top 20% of students in the second level of a Bologna-type master’s program are invited to join the BGS SEB LU Society, provided they:

  • have completed a full Bologna-type program;
  • have regularly progressed from year to year without any breaks in their studies;
  • have successfully completed exams for all enrolled subjects for all years of the study program by September 30 of their second year; and
  • have achieved an average grade of 8.50 in all exams.

1.3. Doctoral students

All doctorates who earned their degree at the SEB LU in the previous academic year are invited to join the BGS SEB LU Society.

1.4. Recipients of the Prešeren Award of the SEB LU and the University of Ljubljana

All students who have been given the Prešeren Award of the SEB LU or the University of Ljubljana in the previous academic year are invited to join the BGS Society.
